Aztec Calendar - made by my grandfather many moons ago while he was living in Tumacacori Arizona.

Still working on this food photography. Trying new recipes and using only natural light.
Tasted better than it looks.
I do like the white balance here.

T and I went for a walk. He likes to stop and smell the flowers, and push the buttons, and turn around, and...I just like to shoot him.

Not off to a good start for May. While the sunset was beautiful, this capture leaves a lot to be desired.

Meet Diva & Ralph Griffin. They weren't too friendly today and I was using my little camera. Guess I interrupted their dinner.

The rain finally stopped for a while and left this beautiful photo op.
LOVE THIS!

Morning routine. Miss Peaches likes to hang out with me while I drink my coffee, check my e-mail, etc. Sometimes she lets me take pictures of her but I have to be sly and use my iPhone or she will snub me.

T and his Papa.
They went out to get some pictures of a Hawk with my Nikon N4004 (film) and 400 mm lens. I ran out after them. I like the way the 75-300mm lens on my Canon 30D captured this and several other shots. A bit dark in some areas but they are both smiling.

EIGHTEEN! And yes, they grow up way too fast. This one grew up tall and grew up right.
I know, we aren't done with him.

keep thinking I need to stop shooting these roses in my neighbors yard but they are so pretty. Every couple of days there are more.
Canon SD1100 - I think.

Miss Peaches this morning. I love the back lighting as the sun was rising. I really love this capture and that app!

This doesn't look as dark on my home monitor. I'm teaching myself Lightroom.I know once I get the hang of it, it will be easier. Meanwhile, it has slowed me down considerably. Clearly it is time for montior calibration, again.
I used a couple presets on this. Too much? I kinda like the grit.
I also captured this on my iPhone using....wait for it....the Hipstimatic app. Can be seen on Flickr
I just realized, posting this almost three weeks after I shot it (!) that it is fitting for the date.

Lots of birds nesting - it's noisy. I keep trying to get some good shots but they just won't sit still long enough.

Crazy weather today. On the west side of my house we had Sun showers. This was on the east side.

This is what I was doing ALL day so this is the only capture I could get and this was after a much needed Martini.

Every Friday night in spring and summer there is a small car show not even a half mile from my house. This was okay in color but something about Black and White works.

My baby boy. Turns 18 in two weeks. Graduates from High School in six weeks. May join the Marines. Momma is having a hard time with all this.
Canon 30D 50mm

Hipstamatic again. In love with this app. Feels like I'm cheating though. I was using my new light tent and available light. I captured some with my 30D but they just didn't do it for me.
